Trucks in Tutus started as a bedtime story Katie imagined for two of her children. Her daughter wanted a story about princesses, her son wanted a tale of trucks, and a fantastic cross-over was born! Gown-clad trucks attended a royal ball and both children were delighted.
The blending of these traditionally gender-specified concepts delighted Katie as well, and she got to work that night on Trucks in Tutus: a fanciful line of luxurious infant and girls’ dresses. Each Trucks in Tutus piece features concepts traditionally associated with boyhood, on a beautiful girls’ dress silhouette. The entire line is proudly made in NYC, with the highest quality fabrics and embellishments.
We are so excited to participate in redefining what it means to be girlie. Truckloads of love and attention has gone into the creation of each dress and we know that you'll love it as much as we do!
Trucks in Tutus challenges societally prescribed gender preferences by providing a fun and stylish option for girls whose interest are not limited to classic “girlie” themes as well as for sophisticated, fashion savvy adults who are bored with historically generic girls clothes.
